REMOTE LIFE 2022
Beginning at dawn where the dampness weighs down the light, to heat that dissipates moisture and dominates the day.
The strong winds that shift sands into summits and steer tracks into crevices. The mounting pressures that curve corners and carve stones. Long shadows that extend before the sunset and coldness like a mirage that come at dusk.
Executed in India, early 2022, the work embodies the topographic forces at work in a deserted, seemingly lifeless place. Placed amidst this remote land, the works reflect its extreme nature; behind its prosaic appearance life is constantly shifting, transforming, and becoming.
